Speedbumps ???

Speedbumps is based on the notion that much of the life we live is best described as “constant white water.” More often than not we move from one crisis to another. There is virtually no time for personal reflection.

Unfortunately, growth and development seldom comes from just doing. Most often it comes when we step back, and reflect on the experience we deal with every day. To be outstanding, to have impact, to find meaning and significance it is essential that one find time to reflect in the mist of life’s chaos. That’s were Speedbumps comes in.

Parking lot speedbumps force us to slow down, to hit the brakes for just an instant before moving on to the next challenge. This blog is intended to help you take advantage of life’bumps, those moments when you do slow down—those short periods of time when you can think, reflect, learn, grow . . . and maybe even breathe.

So, what can you expect from this electronic rag. A periodic article, snippet or item of interest intended to make you think or reflect—with a quote or two thrown in for good measure. I hope you will read Speedbumps and pass it along to your friends and colleagues that might appreciate a bump or two. When you run across an idea, an article or a book that you have found useful—pass it along. Should an item move you, perturb you or just cause you to say, “hum”, drop me a line or give me a call. Your perspective would be most helpful.

Finally, if you find yourself in need of a consultant, a coach, or a speaker committed to helping individuals and organizations learn, grow and change, I’d love to listen. It could be that your needs and my gifts are a match.

With a little luck, Speedbumps will be a frequent part of your life. I hope you find it useful—that it helps you slow down, reflect, and maybe even grin a bit.
